Glad that you managed to overcome this situation.

We are still in the middle of the trip. We have crossed Bulgaria and we are now in Romania. At both border crossings, we were nervous even though we fully knew there will not be any problem.I told my kids that whenever we are caught in a dfficult situation like the one we encountered, it is important to stay focused on the present and avoid going to past & future. I hope this experience doesn’t stop them from traveling and that this experience will make them better travellers.

Glad that you managed to overcome this situation. I had a similar experience at Kigali airport en route to Johanessburg. But it was a small issue only and the stakes were less as i was travelling alone and the issue resolved in less than 15 mins or so.
